I had such a blast shooting this winter wedding at Salvage One for Courtney and Chris. The wedding was an extraordinary journey filled with love, adventure, and unforgettable memories. From the iconic landmarks like the Wrigley Building and Chicago Union Station to the intimate moments with their furry friend and the serene beauty of Kinzie Bridge, every aspect of the celebration was beautifully captured. As a Chicago wedding photographer, it’s an honor to be part of such magical and diverse love stories. Shooting a wedding at Salvage One has been on my venue bucket list for years and I was beyond excited to finally get the chance to shoot there. If you’re planning your own winter wedding in Chicago, let us capture the unique elements.
The day began at the Intercontinental Hotel, a luxurious oasis nestled in the heart of Chicago. As the winter sun peeked through the windows, the bride and groom prepared for their special day surrounded by loved ones. The air was filled with excitement, laughter, and heartfelt moments. We captured the intricate details of the bride’s gown, the groom’s confident smile, and the quiet anticipation of the hours to come. After Courtney and Chris got all dressed we did a first look in front of the hotel and then some cute photos with their dog.
Our photographic journey then took us to the iconic Wrigley Building, an architectural gem that showcases the city’s grandeur. Against the backdrop of this timeless landmark, we captured the couple’s love in a series of stunning photos. The juxtaposition of the historic structure and the couple’s modern romance created a captivating visual narrative. The holiday decoration and large Christmas tree also made for a magical backdrop.
As the day unfolded, we made our way to Chicago Union Station, an architectural marvel that exudes elegance and grandeur. Against this magnificent backdrop, we captured timeless portraits that reflected the couple’s love and the grandness of the moment. The blend of classical beauty and modern romance created images that will stand the test of time.
As the preparations concluded, it was time to embrace the rustic charm of Salvage One. With its unique blend of vintage aesthetics and industrial chic vibes, Salvage One provided an enchanting backdrop for this winter wedding. The exposed brick walls, eclectic decor, and twinkle lights set the stage for a truly unforgettable celebration.
Against the backdrop of Salvage One’s one-of-a-kind ambiance, I set out to capture the intimate moments, heartfelt vows, and joyous celebrations. From the exchange of rings to the tender embraces and stolen glances, my camera immortalized each instance of love and happiness. The wedding party, brimming with laughter and camaraderie, added a vibrant touch to the day’s narrative.
