Nestled in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant Lincoln Square neighborhood, Winnemac Park stands as an oasis of tranquility amidst the urban buzz. Its lush greenery, meandering nature paths, and charming trees provide a picturesque backdrop for countless memories, making it a popular destination for engagement sessions. As a Chicago engagement photographer I loved shooting this Winnemac Park engagement.

I had the privilege of capturing the love story of Hannah and Clyfford, a couple whose connection exuded warmth and tenderness, at Winnemac Park.

Winnemac Park is a beloved neighborhood park in the heart of Lincoln Square, known for its stunning natural beauty and abundance of recreational opportunities. For Hannah and Clyfford, the park held a special place in their hearts, as it was where they walk their dog, Maxine every day. This Winnemac Park engagement was a blast to photograph. I can’t wait for their wedding next year.

Tips to include your dog in your engagement session

1. Incorporate treats and toys: Positive reinforcement can go a long way in keeping your dog engaged and happy. Bring along their favorite treats and toys to reward good behavior and maintain their focus.
2. Be patient: It may take some time for your dog to warm up to the photographer and the situation. Be patient and let them come to you when they’re ready.
3. Keep it fun: Engagement sessions should be fun for everyone involved, including your dog. Make sure they’re having a good time and don’t push them to do anything they’re not comfortable with.
4. Don’t worry about perfection: Engagement photos are about capturing the love between you and your fiancé. Don’t worry if your dog doesn’t cooperate perfectly. Just relax and enjoy the moment.
5. Bring help: Having someone on hand to take the pups home once we are done with their is super helpful.
