Love took center stage, not just in the hearts of Taylor and Jimmy, but also on the iconic Chicago River as they exchanged vows aboard Chicago’s First Lady Cruise. Having captured their infectious love during their engagement session last year, I was thrilled to witness their story unfold in this breathtaking setting. I’ve been dying to be part of a Chicago’s First Lady Cruise wedding and couldn’t have been happier when Taylor and Jimmy hired me.

Getting Ready

The day began at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, where a buzz of excitement crackled in the air. Jimmy and Taylor, inseparable since meeting at work, prepped for their big day with separate teams of friends and family. Their goofiness and pure joy were contagious, making it clear their love was a force to be reckoned with.

Milton Lee Olive Park served as the backdrop for a Jimmy and Taylor’s heartwarming first look. Taylor’s father also received a tearful reveal. The Chicago skyline, bathed in the golden glow of a summer sun, seemed to smile upon their happiness. Family and wedding party portraits followed, capturing the love and support surrounding the couple.

Then, all aboard the Classic Lady! The intimate ceremony on the top deck was a beautiful reflection of their love story. As their cousin officiated, the city glided by, adding a touch of magic to the already heartfelt vows. Laughter mingled with tears as heartfelt speeches and a delicious taco bar fueled the celebration.

As the sky surrendered to the twinkles of city lights, the Chicago’s First Lady embarked on a romantic journey down the river. The DJ spun tunes, and guests danced under the vast canvas of the night sky. The highlight of the night arrived as the boat docked near Navy Pier, offering a front-row seat to a spectacular fireworks display.

It was a wedding as unique and vibrant as the city it took place in. Jimmy and Taylor, surrounded by their loved ones, wrote their own chapter, one that I was privileged to capture.
