Milwaukee’s vibrant Walker’s Point buzzed with love on the day of Cassie and John’s wedding, and I, your trusty wedding photographer Sarah Nader, couldn’t have been more thrilled to capture it! Though these California sweethearts call the West Coast home, Cassie’s hometown of Milwaukee held a special place in their hearts, making it the perfect backdrop for their “I dos.” This The George and Madcap Lounge wedding was so much fun.

Getting Ready

John’s dapper blue suit came to life amidst the funky wallpaper and unique details of The George and Madcap Lounge, while across the street, Cassie’s dress sparkled like sunlight on water as she prepared in a charming Airbnb. The anticipation crackled in the air, and as I arrived at The George, I knew magic was about to unfold.

First Look

The first look, held in front of the venue’s vibrant art wall, was pure emotion. Tears of joy mingled with laughter, and the love radiating from them warmed the room. This intimate moment set the tone for the rest of the day, a joyful celebration of their connection.

We then embarked on a photographic adventure through Walker’s Point, my scouted locations waiting to be explored. A cool mural, a wall of emerald ivy, and a striking pink building provided the perfect backdrops for Cassie and John’s playful and loving energy. Each pose, each laugh, whispered the story of their unique bond.

Ceremony

Back at The George, the ceremony was a beautiful tapestry woven with love and laughter. Right after their vows, we seized the golden hour for a rooftop portrait session, bathing them in the warm glow of the setting sun. The rooftop, overlooking the city, became a symbol of their soaring love and commitment.

While guests enjoyed cocktails in the Madcap Lounge, I knew the night was far from over. The dance floor pulsed with energy as the party kicked into gear. Heartfelt speeches brought tears of joy, and the cake cutting was a delightfully messy affair, perfectly capturing the fun and lighthearted spirit of the evening.
