I recently had the pleasure of shooting an spring Cantigny Park engagement session for Holly and Vince. Let me tell you, it was a blast! The weather was on our side with a beautiful spring day, complete with shining sun and a few flowering trees still gracing the landscape.
One of the things I love most about engagement sessions is the opportunity they provide to really connect with my clients. It’s like a trial run before the big day, a chance for us to get comfortable with each other and build a rapport. After all, having that connection makes all the difference when capturing those special moments on the wedding day.
Cantigny Park never disappoints as a backdrop for photo shoots. With its variety of settings, from lush gardens to charming architecture, there’s always something fresh and unique to work with. It’s like a photographer’s playground! I especially love shooting around the Robert R. McCormick House around sunset. This spring Cantigny Park engagement session was especially special because of all of the tulips. We took full advantage of all the tulips and captured some awesome moments.
As we wandered through the park, capturing Holly and Vince’s love in every frame, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for my job. Being able to witness and document these precious moments is truly a privilege.
So, to Holly and Vince, thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special time in your lives. And to all the couples out there considering an engagement session, I highly recommend it – not only for the beautiful photos but also for the chance to bond with your photographer and ensure that your wedding day memories are in good hands.
