As a Chicago wedding photographer, I have the incredible honor of capturing love stories, and Ceargio and Kelly’s Lakes at Lacey wedding was one for the books. Their whimsical, elegant, and joyous celebration left a lasting impression on me and everyone who attended. From their emotional first look to the vibrant energy on the dance floor, every detail of their day was filled with love and intention.

Ceargio and Kelly met online in late 2017, during a time when neither of them was looking for anything serious. They both admitted that it was their first time exploring dating apps, but as soon as they connected, they became inseparable. Their shared love for nature, good music, and life’s simple pleasures brought them together in a way that felt perfectly aligned. It was clear to me from the start how deeply they understood and cherished one another.

Cantigny Park

The day began with an emotional first look at the stunning Cantigny Park. As a photographer, moments like these are my favorite to capture. Ceargio’s face lit up when he saw Kelly for the first time, and Kelly’s tears of joy were the perfect testament to their love. We followed the first look with some wedding party and couple portraits among the breathtaking scenery of the park. The soft golden light and lush greenery provided a dreamy backdrop that complemented their elegant style.

Their outdoor ceremony at the Lakes at Lacey was nothing short of magical. Ceargio and Kelly chose to incorporate Indonesian traditions into their vows, creating a deeply personal and meaningful ceremony. The foot washing ritual was particularly moving, symbolizing their humility and commitment to serving one another in marriage. Surrounded by family and friends, there wasn’t a dry eye in the area. It was evident how close-knit and supportive their families are, adding to the heartfelt atmosphere.

Inside the Lakes at Lacey, the reception decor was absolutely stunning. Every detail exuded elegance and charm. The heartfelt speeches and songs from loved ones filled the room with joy, and the dance floor was alive with energy. Ceargio and Kelly’s friends and family brought an unmatched vibrancy to the celebration, making the night unforgettable.
