Lincoln Park Conservatory Engagement: Hannah & Kurt

Capturing Kurt and Hanna’s Lincoln Park Conservatory engagement session was an absolute dream! From the moment we met, I could tell they were going to be such a joy to work with. Their connection was effortless, and you could truly feel the love between them. They made my job easy, and I was honored to document this special time in their lives.

We kicked off their session in one of their favorite places—Chicago’s alleys. Most people don’t immediately think of alleys as a romantic backdrop, but Kurt and Hanna love the city’s hidden corners, urban textures, and the character that these tucked-away spots provide. The soft summer light filtering between buildings gave us the perfect moody and intimate vibe to start our shoot.

Next, we made our way to the Lincoln Park Conservatory for their engagement session, and it did not disappoint. The conservatory is one of my favorite spots in the city for engagement photos, and for good reason. The lush greenery, beautiful glass structure, and vibrant plants make for a stunning, romantic setting. While a photo permit is required to shoot inside, it’s a straightforward process through the Chicago Park District. I always recommend couples secure the permit ahead of time to ensure a smooth experience. Having the conservatory as part of their engagement session gave their gallery a unique, timeless feel.

North Avenue Beach

After soaking in the beauty of their Lincoln Park Conservatory engagement session, we wrapped up the shoot at North Avenue Beach. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. The epic Chicago skyline provided a breathtaking backdrop, and with the sun setting, the whole scene felt magical. Kurt and Hanna shared some of their sweetest moments here—laughing, embracing, and taking in the view together.
