River Roast Wedding: Nora & Connor

I had the honor of capturing Nora and Connor’s River Roast wedding in Chicago and what a day it was. As a wedding photographer in this vibrant city, I am always excited to document love stories, but this one truly stood out. Nora and Connor describe their wedding as classic, black and white, and timeless. Their love story began in their senior year of high school and they have been inseparable ever since. Celebrating nine years together, their bond was evident in every moment of this unforgettable day, and the River Roast wedding was a perfect reflection of their enduring connection.

Getting Ready at The Royal Sonesta

The magic began on a beautiful fall day at The Royal Sonesta in Chicago Downtown where getting ready was filled with laughter and heartfelt moments. I had the pleasure of witnessing Nora’s sisters helping her into her stunning wedding dress, a moment of pure joy and sisterly love. We then stepped outside the hotel for a first look that was both intimate and exciting, setting the stage for the rest of the day.

Lurie Garden Wedding Photos

After our first look, the wedding party hopped on a charming trolley ride to Lurie Garden. With the Chicago skyline in the background and the vibrant fall colors painting the scene, I captured a series of breathtaking photos of both the wedding party and the couple. The natural beauty of the setting perfectly complimented their classic style.

DePaul Church Ceremony

Our next stop was the ceremony at DePaul Church. What a beautiful church this is, and I love shooting there because its architecture and atmosphere add an extra touch of elegance to every frame.

River Roast Wedding

Following the touching ceremony and a series of warm family photos, we made our way to LaSalle Bridge to capture scenic shots with the Chicago River in the background. Finally, we headed into the River Roast wedding venue. Situated right on the Chicago River and surrounded by the city’s energy, this venue provided the perfect backdrop for an epic grand entrance to cocktail hour complete with a bagpiper. As the day turned into evening, the sunset painted the sky in spectacular hues, complementing heartfelt speeches and first dances. Everyone packed the dance floor, celebrating love and the promise of a bright future. Congratulations to Nora and Connor on your beautiful River Roast wedding that will be cherished for years to come.
