The Wellsley Engagement: Meredith & Matthew

Meredith and Matthew’s session was such a joy to photograph. I’m so excited to share highlights from their The Wellsley engagement. As a Chicago engagement photographer, I love when couples choose spaces that feel both stylish and personal, and The Wellsley was the perfect spot to start. The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, setting the tone for a fun, romantic afternoon celebrating their love story.

The Wellsley Engagement

We kicked things off at The Wellsley, where Meredith and Matthew popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate their engagement. The laughter, the bubbles, and the excitement of the moment set the stage beautifully. We then made our way to the upstairs bar, which quickly became one of my favorite parts of the day. The moody vibe of the space, paired with the rich red velvet couches, created an intimate backdrop that was both playful and timeless. It felt like the perfect setting for these two to soak in the excitement of what’s to come.

Wells Street Bridge

After capturing those cozy moments indoors, we headed out for a short walk to the Wells Street Bridge. This iconic spot gave us sweeping views of the Chicago skyline, adding an urban flair to their gallery. The bridge provided the perfect contrast to the warmth of The Wellsley, and it’s always a favorite location of mine as a Chicago engagement photographer. From the champagne toast to the city lights, every moment reflected their personalities and their connection.

We ended the session at a very special spot, the place where Meredith and Matthew shared their first kiss. It was such a meaningful way to wrap up their The Wellsley engagement, tying their past, present, and future into one beautiful afternoon.
