Casey and Boyd’s Salvage One wedding was the perfect way to celebrate their marriage surrounded by all of their favorite people. Even though they had officially gotten married before their October wedding day, this Salvage One wedding was all about creating space to truly celebrate with family and friends in Chicago. From start to finish, their Salvage One wedding felt intentional, relaxed, and completely centered on connection.
They began their day together at the Westin in River North. I loved that they chose to get ready in the same space. Since they didn’t have a wedding party, it gave them so much time to just be together and soak everything in. They really prioritized being present, hanging out with their friends, spending time alone together, and finishing formal photos before the celebration started so they could fully enjoy the night.
Their florals were filled with bright fall colors that felt vibrant and full of life, a perfect nod to October in Chicago. One of my favorite details was that they both wore floral ties, which added a fun and personal touch to their look.
After getting ready, we walked from the hotel across the river toward the Wrigley Building. It was such a fun and relaxed part of the day. The city was moving all around us, but Casey and Boyd were completely in their own world. The river views and classic architecture gave us the perfect setting for portraits without anything feeling rushed or overly posed.
We then made our way to Salvage One to continue portraits and meet up with their VIPs for photos. Salvage One is known for its vintage decor, industrial charm, and eclectic details. The exposed brick, antique pieces, and warm lighting create such an inviting space for a celebration.
Salvage One Wedding Ceremony
Their ceremony was incredibly meaningful. They had their parents walk with them down the aisle, which was such a special touch. A close friend officiated, making everything feel personal and intimate. They wrote their own vows, and they were equal parts heartfelt and funny. There were so many laughs and happy tears, including from Boyd, who has been rumored not to be a crier.
The reception was exactly what they envisioned. With most of their guests traveling in from the East Coast, everyone was ready to celebrate. The speeches were full of stories and laughter, and once the dance floor opened, it stayed packed the entire night. It was such a blast to witness.
Casey and Boyd created a day that truly reflected what matters most to them: time together and a big celebration with the people they love. Congratulations to these two on such an unforgettable Salvage One wedding.
