Loews Chicago Hotel Wedding: Andrea & Anthony
Andrea and Andrew’s Loews Chicago Hotel wedding was such a beautiful day from start to finish. As a Chicago wedding photographer, I love when a day flows easily, and this one really did. From getting ready to the rooftop ceremony and into the reception, everything felt relaxed and full of excitement.
The ceremony took place on the rooftop, and it was honestly one of those moments you don’t forget. The Chicago skyline created such an epic backdrop as Andrea and Andrew said their vows. Everything about it felt very “Chicago” in the best way. The views, the light, and the energy all came together perfectly, and it made this Loews Chicago Hotel wedding feel even more special.
One thing that made this day a little different was that we didn’t do portraits on the wedding day. Instead, we planned to do them two days after. This gave Andrea and Andrew the chance to fully enjoy their wedding without having to step away for photos. They were able to be present for everything, spend more time with their guests, and really take in each moment as it happened. As a Chicago wedding photographer, I always tell couples this is such a great option if you want a more relaxed timeline.
When we met up again for portraits at Cancer Survivors’ Garden, it was the perfect setting. It’s one of my favorite spots in Chicago because it’s never crowded and always so pretty. Without the time pressure of a wedding day, we were able to take our time, explore the space, and create really intentional images. It felt calm, easy, and gave Andrea and Andrew a chance to soak it all in again.
The wedding party wore purple, which added a fun and vibrant touch to the overall look of the day. It stood out beautifully against both the city backdrop and the greenery from the portraits.
After the ceremony, the Loews Chicago Hotel wedding celebration continued with so much energy and support from their friends and family. It was clear how loved Andrea and Andrew are, and the whole day reflected that.
This Loews Chicago Hotel wedding was such a great reminder that timelines don’t have to be traditional to work perfectly. By separating portraits from the wedding day, Andrea and Andrew were able to truly enjoy every part of their celebration.
