Promontory Point & University of Chicago Engagement: Jordan & Kevin
As a Chicago engagement photographer, few things make me happier than a crisp fall day filled with rich colors. That’s exactly what I got with Kevin and Jordan’s Promontory Point & University of Chicago engagement session. We met on the beautiful campus of the University of Chicago. The trees were just beginning to show their autumn hues. Adding pops of yellow and red against a backdrop of lush, green ivy still hanging onto its summer vibrance. There’s something about fall in Chicago that feels truly magical, and it’s hands-down my favorite season to photograph.
The University of Chicago
The University of Chicago campus was an ideal setting for Kevin and Jordan’s session, with its historic architecture and ivy-covered walls providing a romantic feel that matched their connection perfectly. The light was soft, the air crisp, and the subtle change in colors set a scene that felt timeless. Shooting there in the fall, with all those charming details and textures, always brings out my creative side as a Chicago engagement photographer.
Promontory Point
After spending some time wandering around campus, we made our way to Promontory Point. As the sun began to dip toward the horizon, the whole atmosphere shifted. The golden glow of the setting sun reflected off Lake Michigan, casting a warm and dreamy light over everything. Promontory Point is such a stunning spot for engagement photos. It gave us that final touch of fall beauty to complete the session. The view of the lake, the changing colors, and that magical golden hour was everything I could have hoped for as a Chicago engagement photographer.
