Hangout Lighting Events Wedding: Anna & Adam

When Anna and Adam reached out to me about photographing their Hangout Lighting Events wedding in Chicago, I was immediately excited. They had already eloped in Canada a few weeks earlier, but they wanted to celebrate with all their favorite people here in Chicago. I knew this was going to be a special day, filled with romance and nostalgia.

Our day started at their cozy Logan Square apartment, where I had the pleasure of meeting their two adorable cats. It was clear these fur babies were an important part of their story, so capturing those moments was a must. Anna and Adam snuggled their cats while I clicked away, and their joy and love were evident in every frame.

Afterward, we stepped outside and took a short stroll to the iconic “Greetings from Chicago” mural. This vibrant backdrop was perfect for showcasing their Chicago roots. We also stopped under the el tracks in Logan Square, which added a touch of urban charm to their portraits.

From there, we made our way to Humboldt Park for some stunning bridal portraits under the weeping willow trees. The golden light filtering through the branches made Anna’s dress and Adam’s tailored suit look even more magical. Humboldt Park’s timeless beauty perfectly complemented the couple’s romantic and nostalgic vibe.

Our final stop before the celebration was the Kinzie Street Bridge. The city skyline and industrial aesthetic created a dramatic contrast to the earlier natural settings, rounding out their wedding day story beautifully.

When we arrived at Hangout Lighting Events, the space was glowing with warmth and intimacy. Anna and Adam had carefully planned this evening to feel like a true celebration of love and connection. They made time for lots of photos with family and friends, ensuring no special relationship was left undocumented. The couple also shared a choreographed first dance that had everyone cheering and smiling. During their welcome speech, their gratitude and happiness filled the room.
