Cantigny Park Wedding: Meghan & Patrick

As a Chicago wedding photographer, it’s always such a joy to capture the love and celebration of couples on their big day. Meghan and Patrick’s Cantigny Park wedding this October was no exception. The weather was absolutely perfect – crisp, sunny, and filled with the kind of golden light that makes everything feel magical.

Meghan and Patrick’s story is just as warm and timeless as their wedding day. They first met in college during a class and were introduced by a mutual friend. Later, they connected at a party where they talked all night, and as Meghan says, “the rest is history.”

GETTING READY

Getting ready began at the charming Dairyman’s Cottage at Cantigny Park. Upstairs, Meghan and her bridesmaids danced around to Taylor Swift as they prepared for the day, their laughter echoing through the halls. The guys, meanwhile, were downstairs, keeping things relaxed but excited. One of the most emotional moments of the morning was Meghan’s heartfelt first look with her dad. Tears were shed, and it was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful these quiet moments are amidst the hustle of the day.

FIRST LOOK

The first look with Patrick took place in the lush Keyhole Garden. The scenery felt like something out of a secret garden, with vibrant greenery and the soft rustle of leaves. Meghan and Patrick’s joy was contagious as we captured wedding party photos and romantic portraits across Cantigny Park’s stunning grounds. The golden light filtering through the trees made every shot a dream.

CANTIGNY PARK WEDDING

The outdoor ceremony was equally magical, filled with love, emotion, and a few happy tears. Meghan and Patrick’s bubble exit was a fun and whimsical touch that had everyone smiling. Afterward, cocktail hour kicked off with delicious food and drinks, and the celebration moved seamlessly into heartfelt speeches and a packed dance floor. Meghan and Patrick had told me they couldn’t wait to dance with everyone, and they truly brought the energy!
