There’s something so magical about a late fall day, especially when it’s spent capturing love stories. I recently had the pleasure of photographing Caroline and Ted’s Lilacia Park engagement session, and it was nothing short of perfect. The weather couldn’t have been better, with just the right amount of crispness in the air and the warm glow of autumn sunlight filtering through the trees. We met at Lilacia Park in Lombard and spent the afternoon exploring its natural charm, laughing, and getting to know one another. Caroline and Ted were nonstop smiles and laughter—the kind of couple that makes my job so easy. You could truly feel the love radiating between them.
I have to say, fall is one of my absolute favorite seasons for engagement sessions. The colors, the cozy atmosphere, and the soft light make everything feel more romantic. Lilacia Park, in particular, is such a gem. With its gorgeous landscaping, winding paths, and vibrant fall foliage, it’s a dream location for capturing timeless and intimate moments. Whether it’s a quiet embrace under the trees or a playful walk along the garden paths, the park provides so many stunning backdrops.
After we finished exploring the park, we headed to Caroline and Ted’s nearby home to include their adorable dog in the session. Adding pets to engagement sessions is always a fun touch! Their pup brought even more energy and cuteness to the photos, and it was such a joy to capture the three of them together. It’s moments like these that make engagement sessions so personal and special.
Congratulations to Caroline and Ted on their engagement! I’m so excited to document your wedding later this year and continue capturing your beautiful love story. If you’re planning your own Lilacia Park engagement, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s create something unforgettable together!
