Lincoln Park summer engagement sessions always have a way of feeling effortless, and Molly and Chris’ session was exactly that from start to finish.
We met on a warm summer evening in Lincoln Park, with that golden light starting to soften everything around us. From the moment we began, it was clear how connected these two are. They were constantly making each other laugh, slipping into inside jokes, and naturally falling into step together. Nothing felt forced. The session unfolded more like a relaxed walk than a photo shoot, which is always my favorite way to document an engagement.
As we wandered through the park, we took advantage of some of Lincoln Park’s most iconic spots. The bridge offered stunning views of the Chicago skyline, creating a perfect contrast between the greenery of the park and the city rising behind them. Molly and Chris fit right into that setting, calm and comfortable, with moments of laughter breaking through every few steps. Those in-between moments ended up being some of the strongest from the entire session.
We also made our way to the honeycomb structure, which added a modern, architectural element to their gallery. It balanced beautifully with the natural surroundings and gave us a different feel without leaving the park. This part of the session felt playful and relaxed, with Chris cracking jokes and Molly laughing without holding back. Their chemistry made every frame feel honest and easy.
What I loved most about this Lincoln Park summer engagement was how true it felt to who Molly and Chris are together. No big poses or overthinking, just genuine connection and shared joy. Summer sessions like this remind me how powerful simple moments can be when a couple feels completely at ease.
Between the skyline views, the open paths, and the way these two showed up for each other, this Lincoln Park summer engagement was such a joy to photograph. Molly and Chris brought so much warmth and energy to the evening
