As a Chicago wedding photographer, I’ve witnessed countless love stories unfold in this city’s magical spaces. But Vishal and Angela’s Loft Lucia winter wedding truly holds a special place in my heart. It was a day brimming with intimacy, surprise, and the kind of joy that makes you believe in happily ever afters.

Vishal and Angela, engaged since September, couldn’t wait to tie the knot. They opted for a smaller celebration at Loft Lucia, surrounded by their closest loved ones. Their decision to plan a winter wedding in December painted the day in a beautiful, romantic glow.

The Loft Lucia, with its exposed brick and industrial chic vibes, transformed into a cozy haven for their intimate gathering. The bride, radiant in her gown, got ready upstairs, while the groom and their son, the epitome of dapper charm, greeted guests downstairs.

The Ceremony

The ceremony unfolded inside, bathed in the warm glow of candlelight and a sea of lush floral arrangements. A close friend officiated the vows, adding a touch of heartfelt authenticity to the occasion. And when their son walked Vishal down the aisle, a collective sigh of “awww” swept through the room.

But Vishal and Angela had another surprise in store. After exchanging vows, they announced with beaming smiles that they were expecting! The news was met with an eruption of cheers and happy tears – a truly unforgettable moment that I was lucky enough to capture.

Following the ceremony, I whisked the newlyweds away for some golden-hued sunset photos on the rooftop. Loft Lucia’s stunning cityscape views provided the perfect backdrop for their portraits, the winter sunset adding a touch of romantic ambiance.

As the night deepened, the party moved inside, and I stole the couple away once more for some fun flash photography. Their infectious laughter and the twinkle of fairy lights in their eyes created an atmosphere of pure joy.
