These indoor Chicago wedding venues with outdoor space have just that: they’re not only gorgeous, but they can also accommodate your guests’ whims and help you create the perfect atmosphere for your big day. A venue with indoor and outdoor gives you the best of both worlds. It can also help you stress less about Chicago weather on your wedding day.
The Midwest is not known for its warm weather. That doesn’t mean you can’t have your wedding outdoors, though! There are tons of indoor venues in Chicago with outdoor space that are perfect for your big day. Here are 10 of our favorite indoor Chicago wedding venues with outdoor space:
If you’re looking for an outdoor space with plenty of room, but also a modern feel, I’ve got the place for you! The Greenhouse Loft in Logan Square has it all.
The courtyard space has tons of open grass and greenery, perfect for your ceremony. Indoor has a much more modern and industrial feel to it. There are massive windows giving you tons of natural light if you decide to go inside.
The Lytle House is a Chicago wedding venue that is perfect for smaller weddings and more intimate weddings. This venue has gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces that will help you create the perfect wedding day.
The indoor space at The Lytle House is a beautiful brick-walled space that can be used as an intimate reception venue. It’s also great for your ceremony if you’re looking for something a little more private than a park space.
What we really love about this location is its massive outdoor space. It’s perfect for an outdoor ceremony and has a gorgeous Chicago Mural as a backdrop! You’ll get all of the greenery and shade that you’d expect from an outdoor ceremony. And there’s also a lot of charm to this particular outdoor space. There’s even room for food trucks in case you want to have a catered reception. We can’t tell you how much we love this idea!
If you’re looking for an indoor Chicago wedding venue with a view, look no further than the Adler Planetarium.
Located in the heart of Chicago, Adler Planetarium offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony options for up to 325 people.
The panoramic view of the city from Adler Planetarium is THE iconic Chicago skyline view. There’s a few good outdoor ceremony venues in Chicago with city views, but Adler is at the very top of the list. We love shooting summertime receptions in the glass solarium, the sunsets are out of this world!
Salvage One venue gives you an insane amount of space both indoors and out for your wedding day! The rustic/vintage styled interior combined with the beautifully decorated outdoor courtyard really give your wedding an incredibly unique feel to it. The venue has 2 indoor spaces available for use in addition to the outdoor space. With a focus on vintage and salvaged furniture this venue is beaming with style!

Loft Lucia is one of my favorite wedding venues in Chicago. The venue has a rooftop that overlooks the city and is secluded enough that you feel like you’re in a private oasis, even though it’s right in the middle of the city. And if it rains on your wedding day, don’t worry—there’s still plenty of natural light indoors!
If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Chicago that’s both beautiful and unique, Lacuna Lofts is the perfect choice. With three separate indoor locations (and one outdoor rooftop), this Pilsen venue offers the best of both worlds: space and privacy. The rooftop at Lacuna Lofts offers one of THE best views of the skyline in the city. You’ll love having your ceremony here—it’s truly breathtaking!
This covered garden rooftop wedding venue in Chicago’s West Town has one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces I’ve come across in Chicago. The rooftop space has a ton of natural wood giving it a rustic feel and overlooks the Homestead’s gorgeous and lush rooftop garden. It’s SUCH a beautiful spot for a wedding and the indoor portion of the venue has that same rustic feel with its natural birch wallpaper and wooden tables. The indoor space has plenty of large windows to give you that natural light even if the weather isn’t cooperating with you as well!
Revel Motor Row has one of the coolest combinations of indoor and outdoor locations I’ve seen from a wedding venue. The central courtyard is huge, and with it being surrounded by the building’s beautiful architecture it gives you a truly unique feel for your wedding day. If you ever wanted to get married in a castle but also in Chicago then this is the venue for you. The venue has an indoor space with a gorgeous glass ceiling perfect for the indoor portion of your wedding. You can still enjoy all the natural light!
In addition to having an awesome combination of indoor and outdoor spaces, there are so many other reasons why this venue is great! It has a cocktail bar that overlooks the courtyard, which is perfect for mingling with your guests before the ceremony or dancing after dinner. The main dining room has huge windows that let in tons of natural light, which is great if you want a more open feel for your ceremony or reception (or both!).

Located in Edgewater, Firehouse Chicago is one of my favorite wedding venues. The venue an old renovated firehouse and has an incredible rustic feel. The indoor space is able to be used for either your ceremony or reception, just like their outdoor courtyard space. This kind of flexibility is wonderful as you can really set up your day exactly how you want it!
There’s also a fire pole that the bride and groom can slide down!
