Chicago’s skyline shimmered under a crisp October sky as Courtney and Sam, hand in hand, embarked on their next chapter at the historic Chicago Winery. Capturing their vibrant love story was an absolute joy, and I, your friendly neighborhood Chicago wedding photographer, couldn’t be more thrilled to share it with you!

Getting Ready

The day unfolded in a whirlwind of excitement. Sam, dapper in a green suit and a pop of orange velvet with his tie, prepped for his big moment at Home2Suites. Meanwhile, Courtney’s parents downtown condo buzzed with a different kind of energy. Surrounded by her family, she slipped into her gown, a joyous affair punctuated by laughter and her dad’s celebratory champagne pop.

First Look

Then came the first look, and what a first look it was! Perched on a balcony boasting the most breathtaking panorama of Chicago’s cityscape I’ve ever witnessed, Courtney and Sam’s eyes met in a moment of pure magic. The lake sparkled, Millennium Park blushed with autumnal hues, and skyscrapers reached for the sky, all mirroring the immensity of their love.

Maggie Daley Park was our next stop, where we captured family formals, bride and groom portraits the wedding party. A stroke of luck gifted us pockets of fiery foliage, adding a touch of fall charm to the urban canvas.

Chicago Winery Wedding

Laughter filled the limo as we whisked them to Chicago Winery. Descending into the heart of the venue, we paused for intimate portraits amidst the imposing oak barrels, the air heavy with the intoxicating scent of fermenting grapes.

But the magic wasn’t confined within. Stepping outside, we ventured on a stroll around the block, capturing their love story in candid shots that painted a beautiful picture of their connection.

Ceremony

The ceremony inside Chicago Winery was a feast for the senses. A romantic and moody ambiance set the stage, with candles casting a warm glow and fall-inspired florals blooming everywhere. Greenery cascaded from the skylight, adding a touch of whimsy. And the cherry on top? Sam’s sister officiating the ceremony, making it a truly personal and unforgettable experience.

Heartfelt speeches melted hearts during the reception, and the dance floor was hopping from the moment it opened. As the night progressed, I whisked Courtney and Sam outside for some magical night portraits. Courtney then surprised everyone by switching into a fun, shorter dress and comfy sneakers, ready to tear up the dance floor with renewed energy.

After Party

The party didn’t end at Chicago Winery, though. The revelry continued at Headquarters Beercade, where guests enjoyed a fun after-party, proving this Chicago Winery wedding was a true celebration of love, laughter, and good times.
