As a Chicago elopement photographer, I get to witness and capture some of the most intimate and joyful moments in people’s lives. Sophie and Paul’s City Hall Chicago elopement was no exception. Their day was filled with love, laughter, and a touch of adventure.

City Hall Chicago Elopement

Sophie and Paul, a delightful couple from England, had been planning a vacation to the United States when they decided to turn their trip into something even more special by tying the knot in Chicago. They chose to have their ceremony at Chicago City Hall. From the moment I met them, it was clear how deeply in love they were. Their constant giggles and the way they looked at each other melted my heart.

The day started at City Hall, where Sophie and Paul exchanged their vows in front of the judge. It was a simple yet beautiful ceremony, and I felt honored to be there capturing every heartfelt moment. After they said their “I dos,” we stepped outside to take some portraits against the iconic architecture of the building. The blend of history and elegance made for a perfect backdrop for their City Hall Chicago elopement photos.

Next, we headed to Milton Lee Olive Park, a favorite spot of mine for its sweeping views of the Chicago. Sophie and Paul were in awe of the stunning scenery, and their joy was infectious as we captured some truly epic shots with the city towering behind them. They were naturals in front of the camera, their love shining through in every frame.

Chicago Art Institute

To bring a touch of nature into their session, we ended the day at the South Gardens of the Chicago Art Institute. The lush canopy of trees and the serene fountain provided a dreamy, romantic atmosphere. Sophie’s laughter echoed through the gardens as Paul whispered something sweet in her ear, and the moments we captured there felt like they belonged in a fairytale.
